About the club
Caerphilly Ramblers was founded in 1993 by members drawn mainly from
the Caerphilly basin and surrounding valleys. The first walk was on
the 5th May 1993.
The club is affiliated to the Ramblers Association and promotes
rambling, the maintenance of rights of way,
and the protection of the beauty and natural habitats of the region.
Members lead walks on the local hills, in the valleys, and along the
coast.

Walking with other clubs |
Caerphilly Ramblers is affiliated to the
Ramblers Association. To walk with other rambling groups, such as Gelligaer, Islwyn, or Cardiff, you may wish to consider joining the Ramblers Association. |
New walk leaders | The club relies on members volunteering to lead
walks. Only in this way can the club produce a full walks
programme. Please submit walks, with a choice of dates if
possible, to the Walks Secretary. Members who have not led a
walk before and who require advice can talk to any of our
volunteer walk leaders. |
Trips and holidays |
If you would like to arrange a social event or
a trip away for the group, the club can offer help and advice.
Contact the website for more information. Examples of such trips can be found on the Trips and Holidays page. |
